• Biography

    Mason Mote focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. He regularly represents lenders and borrowers in interim, permanent, mezzanine and construction financing for commercial real estate projects ranging from $5 million to over $2 billion throughout Texas and the United States. He also helps clients navigate the challenging process of debt restructuring and foreclosures.

    Mason also has extensive experience working on hospitality projects. He has represented lenders, management companies and developers in the acquisition, financing and construction of hotels and resorts ranging from boutique hotels in Napa Valley, California, to luxury-branded resorts in Florida, and one of the tallest hotels in the Pacific Northwest.

    Mason also routinely represents developers, buyers and sellers in the preparation and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development and construction agreements, and joint venture agreements in connection with the acquisition, disposition and development of raw land and commercial properties, including hospitality (hotels and resorts), multi-family, office, industrial, and retail projects.

    Mason also advises landlords, tenants and developers in the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases, including office, industrial, and retail leases, and ground leases for the development of land.
