• Biography

    Rick Martin has more than 35 years of experience assisting a broad range of clients involved in complex real estate transactions. He has represented pension systems, pension advisors, developers, REITS, private funds, and individual investors in office, industrial, hospitality and multi-family acquisitions and dispositions, and multi-family, industrial, office and lot development. Recently Rick has had a particular focus on development joint ventures. He has completed transactions including:

    • Representation of an institutional investor in the acquisition of an approximate 2,800-unit multifamily portfolio throughout Texas.
    • Representation of developer in connection with the sale of an industrial portfolio totaling 47 buildings in the DFW area.
    • Representation of state  pension system in connection with development of a mixed use project in Seattle, Washington.
    • Representation of state pension system in connection with the acquisition of an office building in Houston, Texas.
    • Representation of REIT in connection with formation of investment partnership and acquisition of industrial portfolio in Southern California.
    • Representation of movie operators in connection with leases in California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas.
    • Representation of a family office investor in connection with the development of industrial facilities in the DFW area.
    • Representation of a governmental pension system in connection with the disposition of a retail center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
    • Representation of developer in connection with industrial facilities in the DFW Area.
    • Representation of a private fund in connection with the acquisition of a multifamily project in Austin, Texas.
    • Representation of a family office investor in connection with the development of an industrial project in Calgary, Alberta.
    • Representation of a family office investor in connection with the development of a multifamily project in Denver, Colorado.
    • Representation of a governmental pension system in connection with the formation of a development and investment partnership with a public REIT and acquisition of a national retail portfolio in New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana and Florida.
    • Representation of a private fund in connection with the acquisition of a Office Development in the DFW Area.
